The Karnataka Power Corporation (KPCL) will set up an 11.5 MW waste to energy (WTE) plant at the cost of Rs 260 crore in Bidadi, Karnataka in the next two years. The plant will have indigenous products and equipment. The plant will need 600 tonne of segregated waste on a daily basis to produce power. The letter of award for construction of the WTE plant has been awarded to Noida-based ISGEC Heavy Engineering, along with its consortium partner Hitachi Zosen India, which have the experience of setting up of over 900 WTE plants across the world. The same consortium has set up a WTE plant in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, which has been running successfully for the last four years.

NBCC (India) has floated tender for construction of smart township in Chatra district of Jharkhand. The scope of work involves construction of smart township/colony with colony road network and other road, service buildings and other allied jobs, related to mines for Magadh & Amrapali of CCL at Tandwa Block. The detailed scope of work envisages construction of Residential, Non residential buildings, Industrial buildings, Intake well, WTP, STP, ETP, MEP works, road works and other works related to campus development as per scope of work and tender documents. The work will entail an investment of Rs 659.88 crore in a period of 30 months.
