Cero, a 50:50 joint venture between the Mahindra Group and government-owned MSTC, plans to set up around 100 vehicle scrapping centres across India by 2025. Currently, India has around 13 to 15 registered vehicle scrapping centres, out of which nine is owned by Cero. According to Sumit Issar, Director Cero, India needs at least 200 centres to cover all its large cities.

Foxconn is in close negotiation with the Karnataka government to house its manufacturing plant near Bengaluru. The company has indicated to the state government that the successful execution of this project, termed as “Project Elephant” will lay a strong foundation for other investment plans to manufacture spanning mechanical/precision machinery, electric vehicle, IC design & semiconductor segments in Karnataka.

Sterlite Power on 6 March 2023 commissioned the 335-km Lakadia-Vadodara transmission project (LVTPL) for evacuating solar and wind power from Gujarat. According to Pratik Agarwal, MD Sterlite Power, the project will help in unlocking 5,000 MW of green power for the nation that will accelerate India’s vision of having 500 GW by 2030.
