Tender floated for construction of Joladarasi Reservoir

The Irrigation & CAD Department, Andhra Pradesh has floated tender for construction works at Joladarasi Reservoir. The scope of work involves improvement to Escape Channel, Nippulavagu, Galeru River and Kundu River from 0.000 km to 189.200 km and re-gradation of Vagu, flood Protection works and providing high level bridges to en-route villages for improving the carrying capacity to 35000 cusecs. The works also involve formation of Rajoli Reservoir across Kundu River on upstream side of existing Rajoli Anicut for a total storage capacity of 2.95 TMC of water and construction of Joladarasi Reservoir with 0.8 TMC across Kundu River at Joladarasi (V), Koilkuntal (M), Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh. The work will be completed in 36 months at a cost of Rs 1,769.16 crore.
