Blackstone Inc. is building a built-to-suit warehouse for Amazon in Delhi. This is the first in-city fulfillment centre for Amazon in Delhi.
The warehouse is spread across an area of 5,00,000 sq ft. Amazon has inked a 20-year lease with Horizon Industrial Parks.
This is the first-ever built-to-suit arrangement between Amazon and Blackstone anywhere in the world.
The warehousing facility is likely to be ready by October 2023. The facility is coming up close to Khera Kalan in northwest Delhi.
The land and some of the warehousing assets, spread just over 1.5 million sq ft, were acquired by Blackstone in 2021 from real estate developer TARC for a consideration of Rs 295 crore.
Presently, Amazon India has fulfillment centres spread across 15 states with 43 million cu ft of storage space.
