Sixty-six Tihar inmates who are on the verge of completing their sentences were recently hired by private companies during a recruitment drive at the jail premises. Sahara Chief Subrata Roy who is cooling his heels at Tihar is a relieved man now, as he hopes to get a better offer once his term in jail comes to an end.

However, political parties were conspicuous by their absence in this rare campus recruitment drive. They missed a golden opportunity to recruit suitable candidates to fight in the just-concluded General Elections!

Kalmadi, who failed to get a Congress ticket in the Parliamentary elections, must be ruing his fate. Had he stayed a little longer, he would have at least got the job of procurement officer in some company!
