Chhattisgarh has attracted FDI proposals worth Rs 43,250 crore at the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026 held in Singapore, marking a major push by the state to attract global investment in emerging sectors.
The largest proposal, worth Rs 41,750 crore, has been received from Singapore-based Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd for setting up a 100 MW hyperscale data centre in Chhattisgarh.
The proposed data centre is expected to strengthen the state’s digital infrastructure and support its transition beyond traditional industries towards digital technologies, innovation and technology-led investments. The state government said the project could also help develop Chhattisgarh’s digital ecosystem and attract additional technology companies and investors.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presented an Investment Invitation Letter to Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd for the proposed data centre project and invited Singapore-based investors to explore investment opportunities in the state.
During his Singapore visit, Sai also met industry representatives at the SING Forum and highlighted Chhattisgarh’s industrial strengths, natural resources and emerging investment opportunities.
The Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh is no longer limited to minerals and traditional industries and is increasingly emerging as a destination for technology, innovation and global investment. He also highlighted the potential for collaboration between Singapore’s technological and urban-development capabilities and Chhattisgarh’s industrial potential.
Sai said the proposed investment by a global company demonstrates confidence in the state’s policies, investment potential and workforce, adding that more international investors are expected to follow.
The SING Forum serves as a business platform to strengthen economic ties between Singapore and India, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and companies from sectors including technology, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and digital services.
