Dilip Buildcon (DBL) has emerged the lowest (L1) bidder for a mine developer-cum-operator (MDO) contract. The contract is for development and operation of Siarmal Open Cast project in Sundergarh district of Odisha. The tender was floated by Mahanadi Coalfield (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India (CIL). The value of the contract is Rs 37,215.58 crore. The mineable reserve of the block to be exploited over a contract period of 25 years is 1,091 million tonne at a peak rated capacity of 50 million tpa.
