The four laning of the existing two-lane Jodhpur to Pali section of NH-65 and Pali bypass on NH-14 is expected to be complete by March 2015. Work on the project commenced in September 2013 and the project developer has already incurred Rs 151 crore on the project. The project was awarded to Jodhpur Pali Expressway Ltd. (JPEL) by Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Rajasthan (GoR) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) – Toll basis. The envisaged project cost of Rs.422.98 crore will be financed through debt and equity in the ratio of 2.44:1. The project had achieved financial closure in August 2013.
JPEL is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) sponsored by G R Infraprojects Ltd which is owned by Agarwal family.
