GIFT City has been included in Government of India’s Smart City Mission Statement and Guidelines as Model City in Greenfield category for development of 100 Smart Cities in India. State-of-the-art connectivity, modern infrastructure and transportation access have been integrated into the design of the city. GIFT Master Plan reflects a sophisticated planning approach that integrates the intended program into the existing context of both the site and the region. Deemed as India’s first smart city, GIFT City has been developed from scratch with facilities such as District Cooling System, Utility Tunnel, and Solid Waste Management system being readily available. The city has been designed keeping in mind walk to work concept, which would involve least travelling time.
The uniqueness of GIFT Gujarat comes from housing India’s first IFSC (International Financial Services Centre) within its allocated SEZ. GIFT City has been planned to have a smart business environment. World class commercial proprieties are being developed in the City which will have all modern facilities for businesses and their offices. The project regenerates the area as high quality, mixed-use district of residential, commercial and open space facilities that optimize land and real estate values.
