India’s textile industry is projected to reach USD 350 billion by 2030, creating 3.5 crore jobs, as stated by Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, during the Curtain Raiser event for ‘Bharat Tex 2025’ in New Delhi. He emphasized that the Union Government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme will help boost apparel production, enhance branding, integrate the textile value chain, and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to India.
‘Bharat Tex 2025’ is a major global textiles event organized by a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and supported by the Ministry of Textiles. The event, scheduled from February 14-17, 2025, will take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.
