IRB Infrastructure Developers emerges preferred bidder for Chittoor-Thachur road projectIRB Infrastructure Developers (IRB), an infrastructure developer, has emerged as a preferred bidder for six-laning of Chittoor-Thachur road.

The scope of work includes construction of six-laning of Chittoor-Thachur road from 96.040 km (Pondavakkam) to 116.100 km (Kannigaipair) (length – 20.06 km) on hybrid annuity mode (HAM) under Bharatmala Pariyojana in the state of Tamil Nadu (Package-IV).

The bid project cost by the company is Rs 909 crore and the first year’s operations and maintenance (O&M) cost is Rs 1.98 crore. The concession will comprise 730 days for construction and 15 years operations & maintenance rights thereafter.

This is another project of the company in Tamil Nadu after the existing Omalur-Salem-Namakkal Project, which is under the BOT space. This is the fourth HAM project for the company after two in Gujarat and one in Himachal Pradesh.

Upon award of this project, the company’s order book will stand at Rs 14,189 crore. With this the company’s aggregate strength of HAM portfolio will be of approximately 640 km with cost outlay of over Rs 5,500 crore.

The company is already constructing two HAM projects in Gujarat as a part of upcoming Vadodara-Mumbai eight-lane greenfield expressway. Recently, it was awarded Pathankot-Mandi HAM project in Himachal Pradesh.
