The Irrigation & CAD Department, Andhra Pradesh, has floated tender for modernisation of Guntur channel.
The scope of work involves modernisation of Guntur channel from 0.000 km to 47.000 km including leading channel and distributary system — detailed investigation, sub-soil exploration, preparation of HPs, design and drawings of CM and CD works; widening of entire main canal — construction of CC retaining wall on either side of the entire canal; dismantling and reconstruction of CM and CD works — improvements to distributary system, operation and maintenance of the system in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh under EPC turnkey mode.
The work will entail an investment of Rs 331.18 crore with completion period of 36 months.
