The eighth edition IndiaChem 2014, jointly organised by FICCI and the Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals, Government of India, will witness the presence of some of the leading Japanese companies under the Japan Zone. The result of a collaborative effort of Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), this zone will present some of the unique and technologically innovative inventions in the domain of chemical industry.
They will be organising an exhibition showcasing all the sectors of the chemical industry, with diverse exhibitors from all the sectors i.e. chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and the process plant machinery and automation system. The event attracts maximum number of buyers to both from India as well as abroad.
To be held from October 9 to 11, 2014, at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, IndiaChem 2014 is the exhibition on chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and technologies, process plant machinery, and control and automation systems.
Visitors can expect to have a business matching sessions with the companies which have numerous variety of high technology products and services (ex. films, ion exchange membranes, steel pipes, plant engineering, speciality chemicals, investment casting wax, surface treatment chemicals, automatic TOC analysers, powder metal products, high-performance plastics, purified terephthalic acid, synthetic paper, dehydrating ethanol).
“The Japanese chemical industry is the second largest in the country but our presence in India is not commensurate to the size of our industry. We want to use this opportunity to enter into India and invest and explore the Indian market,” said Takehiko Furukawa, Director General, JETRO Mumbai.
Some of the leading Japanese companies that will be present at IndiaChem 2014 include Fujifilm India, Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corporation, Osaka Steel Tube, Toyo Engineering India, TCI Chemicals India, Mitsubishi Chemical India, PCS Japan, MELTEX, Toray Engineering, IHI Corporation, MCC PTA India Corp., Yupo Corporation, Hitachi Chemical and Mitsubishi Chemical Engineering Corporation.
Of these six companies i.e. Osaka Steel Tube, PCS Japan, MELTEX, Toray Engineering, Yupo Corporation and Mitsubishi Chemical Engineering Corporation will be participating in the exhibition from Japan to find out potential of Indian market and enlarge the market.
The chemicals industry is the second largest industry in the country and is boosting its economy to enormous heights. Thus, Japanese exhibitors will demonstrate their exclusive technology and discuss their expansion plans in the Indian market.
