In February 2023, foundation stones were laid for the following major projects.
On 12 February 2023, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Bandikui-Jaipur greenfield expressway being developed at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore. The 67 km long four-lane highway is being built by GR Bandikui Jaipur Expressway. The expressway starts at Shyamsinghpura village near Bandikui in Dausa district and terminates at Jaipur Ring Road in Rajasthan. The project concessionaire expects to complete the project by November 2024.
On 13 February 2023, NTT Global Data Centers performed Boomi Pujan for its upcoming 25 MW capacity Data Centres in Bengal Silicon Valley (BSV), New Town in Rajarhat, Kolkata. NTT intends to set up three Data Centres in three phases over 7.5 acres of land. Work on the first Data Centre is expected to commence in March 2023 with completion schedule of June 2024.
On 15 February 2023, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Rs 8,800 crore three million tonne capacity steel plant. The new plant will be housed in a 3,500 acre plot at Sunnapurallapalli village, Kadapa in the YSR district of Andhra Pradesh. JSW intends to set up the project in two phases and complete Phase-I by August 2025
On 25 February 2023, the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for a four-lane Bypass between Parwa and Asola at Parbhani in Maharashtra. The Rs 497 crore Bypass project is proposed by the Public Works Department, Maharashtra. The 18.55 km long Bypass will be built on an EPC basis. Saraswati Construction Co. is the L-1 bidder for the project.
On 25 February 2023, the Union Minister, Gadkari also laid the foundation stone for the upgradation of a 48 km long stretch between Jintur and Shahapur on NH-752 in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra. Public Works Department, Maharashtra intends to carry out this Rs 415 crore project on an EPC basis. SMS is the L-1 bidder for the project.
As per Projects Today, foundation stones were also laid for the following projects in February. A Rs 217.41 crore Pathri-Selu-Devgaon Phata project at Parbhani, Maharashtra. A Rs 150 crore Colour Coated Steel project at Lassipora in Pulwana district of Jammu & Kashmir.
