Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Nepal, K P Sharma Oli, jointly inaugurated South Asia’s first cross-border petroleum products pipeline from Motihari in India to Amlekhgunj in Nepal on 10 September 2019.
The Motihari-Amlekhgunj pipeline (69 km) has a capacity of two million tpa. It will provide cleaner petroleum products at affordable cost to the people of Nepal.
The project has been completed ahead of schedule.
