Matter Lab, launched in 2022, South India’s largest and most modern quality testing laboratory, an initiative of Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society has been certified by the National Accreditation Body for Laboratories (NABL) to expand their scope from 100 to nearly 1,000 accredited tests. This expansion covers a wide range of materials testing, enabling the organisation to offer clients a broader array of accredited testing services, ensuring even greater accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in the results. Being NABL accredited testing laboratory based on ISO 17025: 2017, Matter Laboratory meets specific requirements related to impartiality, confidentiality and integrity, which are inherently ethical concerns and it is unbiased and takes care of conflicts of interests by accuracy and honesty in reporting and transparency.

Matter Lab’s accredited testing services cover a wide variety of materials, including soil, rocks, aggregates, cement, Bentonite, GGBS, Fly Ash, Steel, water, concrete, masonry blocks, clay roof tiles, timber, plywood, ceramic tiles, adhesives, natural stones (e.g., granite, marble), geotextiles, pipes, bitumen, and more.

Additionally, Matter Lab is accredited for conducting specialized geotechnical tests such as SPT Testing, TRL DCP Testing, Plate Bearing Test, and more. It also offers Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for concrete structural health monitoring, including Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity, Rebound Hammer, and GPR scanning. Furthermore, Matter Lab is the only NABL-accredited laboratory in Kerala for concrete and asphalt mix designs, concrete durability tests, and stabilized soil testing. The lab also conducts water analysis for drinking, construction, and environmental purposes, along with chemical analysis of various materials like steel, cement, and aggregates.
