S.O. 1195 (E): Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O. 1939(E), dated June 18, 2013 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub – section (ii), dated July 1, 2013 and issued under section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the central government declared its intention to acquire the land for the purpose of execution of the Special Railway Project, namely, Western Dedicated Freight Corridor at Banaskantha district in Gujarat.
And whereas three numbers of objection have been received and the same have been considered and two disallowed and one allowed by the competent authority. In pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E, the competent authority has submitted its report to the central government.
Therefore, upon receipt of the report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E, the central government hereby declares that the land specified hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E, the central government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified shall vest absolutely in the central government free from all encumbrances.
