Container Corporation of India Ltd, a Government of India enterprise, has invited tenders for the construction of a pre-engineered warehouse at the proposed multimodal logistics park in Visakhapatnam. The scope will include cantilever canopy and cement concrete paving around the warehouse. The estimated value of the contract is Rs.7.17 crore and the completion period is 11 months.

The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply and erection of the structural steel system metal roof/wall system, trim, accessories, ridge ventilators, and related civil and electrical works. The selected contractor will be required to execute the work in stretches and on areas which are made available.

Concor has also invited bids for the construction of an administration building, canteen, substation building and rainwater harvesting system at the proposed multimodal logistics park at Naya Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
Other new projects in the pre-engineered sector include:

* NTPC Ltd is constructing pre-engineered structures for CISF barracks at its 1,600-MW (2×800) Darlipali supercritical thermal power plant in Sundargarh district of Odisha. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1.64 crore.

* ONGC Ltd is constructing four new watch towers at Konaban GCS, Tripura Asset, Agartala, as part of its security system. The estimated value of the contract is Rs.39 lakh.

* Bihar Medical Services & Infrastructure Corporation Ltd is contracting out the supply and erection of various types of healthcare buildings as a greenfield project using pre-engineered building technology. This would include wall panels of pre-painted galvanized steel sheets and roofing made of sandwich panels, also of pre-painted galvanized steel sheets.
