EGIS India, a subsidiary of the EGIS Group, plans to make significant investments to drive growth in India. EGIS India, an infrastructure and engineering consultancy company, is looking at both organic and inorganic ways to drive up its growth in India. EGIS India is looking at major acquisitions mainly in energy sector. The company is active in wide ranging urban infrastructure projects including roads and highways, railways, water management, buildings and airports.
Egis India, which has been in India since 1996, clocked a turnover of Rs. 166 crore in 2012-13 and is aiming to achieve Rs. 400 crore turnover in next five years. Egis India is currently executing 108 projects in India with an estimated total value of Rs 878 crore. Some major projects are – Metro Rail projects in Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata; Hyderabad Outer Ring Road; projects under NVDA; 1048 km long Ganga Expressway; Mumbai Master Plan VISION 2034 and Ports in Daman and Diu. Currently the company employs more than 1,100 employees in India.
