Here is a new definition of poverty. “It is a state of mind,” says our PM in waiting Rahul Gandhi. So you can gauge the mind of the State with this statement. So whether you can have a sumptuous lunch for ₹12 or whether you can feed eight people with just ₹20 is not so relevant anymore with the new theory on poverty unfolding. It has got nothing to do with your purse, only with your mind.

If poverty is a state of mind, being rich is also a state of mind. So why are you politicians accumulating so much wealth, asks a social activist. Give away all of it or, more appropriately, return it all!

Soon the Planning Commission may have to be headed by a philosopher or a spiritual guru.
