DCB Power Ventures Ltd (DCBPVL), a subsidiary of Dalmia Power Limited, is setting up 27 MW captive power plant in Belgaum, Karnataka. The project is in nascent stage and power generated from the proposed plant will be consumed by Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL). DCBL is currently setting up 2.5 MTPA cement plant in Belgaum at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,300 crore which is nearing completion.
DCBPVL already owns three captive power plants with an aggregate capacity of 72 MW. DCBPVL supplies power to DCBL’s cement plants located at Dalmiapuram and Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu. DCBPVL, in turn gets lease rentals. The company is planning to follow the same revenue model in Belgaum too.
