Equinix Inc has announced an initial investment of more than USD 86 million to build its third International Business Exchange (IBX) data center in Mumbai.
The data centre, to be named MB3, will serve the rapidly increasing digital infrastructure demand.
The initial investment includes an acquisition of a land parcel with a total space of nearly four acre.
MB3 IBX will be located in Chandivali area, Mumbai. Phase-I of MB3 is scheduled to open in Q2/2024, providing an initial capacity of over 1,375 cabinets, and over 4,150 cabinets once fully built.
