40 Tourism Projects

Key features of this initiative include developing a complete tourist experience, providing financial support to the selected proposals, strengthening various stages of the tourism value chain, engaging expert design and development teams, ensuring sustainable operations, and long-term maintenance. The projects have been selected based on the proposals submitted by State Governments, evaluating criteria such as site connectivity, tourism ecosystem, carrying capacity, sustainability practices, operational management, project impact, and tourism marketing strategies for both domestic and international markets. The implementation and management of these projects will be handled by the respective State Governments.

The Ministry of Tourism actively promotes India’s diverse tourism destinations and products both domestically and internationally under the “Incredible India” campaign. This includes initiatives such as websites, social media promotions, event participation, and supporting State Governments in organizing fairs and festivals. Additionally, tourism promotion is carried out by the state governments and union territories.
