Of these, 10 will be reserved under the government of Goa’s startup programme. The infrastructure for these 10 charging stations will be as per the green energy building code with all energy used being renewable.

The state government intends to set up electric vehicles charging stations at commercial buildings, like malls, offices, shopping complexes, cinema halls, and restaurants, among others, besides also institutional buildings, like hospitals, colleges, group housing societies, and petroleum outlets.

Apart from this, it is also looking to set up EV charging stations on private properties with public access.

Locations for setting charging infrastructure will be allotted by Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) based on mutually agreed terms between GEDA, landowner and bidders.
