Gujarat Credo Minerals Industries Limited (GCMIL) is planning to undertake a project for manufacturing of detergent grade Zeolite having capacity of 10,000 MTPA. The project specifications are yet to be finalized. However, GCMIL has targeted to complete the project in FY 16.
GCMIL is a joint venture between Credo Minerals Industries Ltd and GMDC to set up a manufacturing unit to provide value addition to the mined bauxite, wherein GMDC would ensure the supply of bauxite to the new entity. GMDC holds 26% stake in the company. GCMIL has set up a manufacturing facility in Kutch, Gujarat with a capacity of 500,000 MTPA which is in the vicinity of GMDC’s mines. The plant became operational in May 2013.
