Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) and its joint venture partner Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) together won a contract worth Rs 3,681 crore to build the Bandra-Kurla complex station of Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail project on 14 March 2023.
The contract awarder, National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) is building the 508 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail at a cost of Rs 1,08,000 crore.
The Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) bullet train station will have six platforms, each nearly 414 mtr long and large enough to accommodate a 16-coach bullet train. The station, to be built about 24 mtr below ground level, will have amenities like waiting areas, business-class lounge, nursery, restrooms, smoking rooms, and information kiosks.
