Hindustan Zinc has invited expression of interest (EoIs) from bidders to set up a new melting and casting facility for Zinc Alloys and Zinc Dust plant on the engineering, procurement and construction basis within one year in Rajasthan.
The new subsidiary company is being formed for producing various alloy products of zinc in RD Complex-Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The new company will be able to concentrate on better grades as well as the most efficient manufacturing.
The plant is to have the latest technology features for managing emissions and utilising green energy. HZL has been producing few alloys from time to time with the existing facilities.
The major plant units include zinc cathode melting furnace capacity of 16 tph, cathode charging system, with tillable coreless alloy furnace and holding furnace of capacity 15 tph. Zinc slab casting machine and zinc alloy slab casting machine is also part of the project.
Hindustan Zinc has a total metal production of 913 kilo tpa and 210 kilo tpa of lead metal production.
