Haryana is going back to our ancient education system where children study under trees. The state has opted for this kind of system not because it considered some merit in the old education system but due to lack of basic infrastructure in its schools. Some schools in Haryana don’t have basic amenities like classrooms and drinking water. So the kids are being taught under trees! Of course, teachers are there, maybe because of the efforts of Chautala, the state’s former chief minister!

But parents are more than happy to send their children to such schools, because there is not threat of school buildings collapsing!
