Oyster Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd has commissioned 52.8MW of wind power capacity at Dayapar in Gujarat, marking its entry into the state and the second phase of a 99 MW wind project being developed for Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL).
The commissioned phase represents an investment of about Rs 385 crore. It is part of the Rs 725 crore earmarked for the entire 30-turbine, 99 MW wind facility in Gujarat. The overall 315.6 MW solar-wind hybrid project for JSL involves an investment of more than Rs 2,000 crore, including Rs 132 crore from JSL.
The hybrid project comprises 216 MW in Madhya Pradesh and 99 MW of wind capacity in Gujarat.
The company said the Dayapar facility complies with the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission’s Indian Electricity Grid Code, 2023, the Central Electricity Authority’s technical standards for connectivity and communication, and safety regulations, making it ready for commercial operation.
