ReNew Power has commissioned 110 MW solar generation facility in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan.
As part of the project, the company has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a tariff of Rs 2.49/kWh and will provide clean energy to the state.
The solar project is a part of an eventual 2,300 MW solar capacity that ReNew is bringing in Rajasthan. The balance of the 2,300 MW capacity will generate electricity to be fed into the national grid, helping India achieve the target of 450 GW clean energy by 2030.
With this commissioning, the company’s total solar capacity in the state stands at 500 MW. In Rajasthan alone, the company aims to commission 2,300 MW solar power capacity by 2023.
