Prevailing uncertainties and court room battles involving Sahara Group and its Chief, Subrata Roy, seem to have its impact on Sahara Group projects too. For example, Sahara Star Hotel project in Mumbai which was scheduled to be completed in July this year may not happen and in all probability the date may have to be extended. According to our sources, this may not happen before December, 2014 and that too if the cases pending against the group are amicably resolved.
Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai is run by Sahara Hospitality Limited (SHL) which is a 100% subsidiary of Sahara Prime City Limited. Construction and expansion of Sahara Star was planned in three phases Phase-I of the project was completed in October 2007 wherein 223 rooms and 9 specialty restaurants outlets where constructed.
