Recently, Kolkata Municipal Corporation decided to spend crores of rupees to repair the pathway in a park where Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee goes for evening walks. She reportedly complained about the bad condition of the pathway to the concerned people and quick action was taken to avoid Mamata’s fury.
Now the people of Kolkata are praying for Didi to take a drive around the city’s potholed roads and complain about them to the corporation. At least the potholes will get filled.
Let’s hope other leaders too start walking on footpaths and in parks in cities around the country. It will not only burn calories around their waists but also help in improving civic amenities for the common man.
