Electric vehicle manufacturer Zelio E-Mobility has inaugurated its fourth manufacturing plant in Hisar, Haryana, strengthening its electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler production capabilities.

The new facility has an installed annual production capacity of 72,000 units, comprising 48,000 electric two-wheelers and 24,000 electric three-wheelers. With this expansion, the company’s total annual manufacturing capacity has increased from 2.4 lakh units to approximately 3.12 lakh units.

Spread across 261,360 sq. ft., the new manufacturing facility has commenced production of both electric two-wheelers and electric three-wheelers. The company has invested more than Rs 20 crore in the facility, with a portion of the investment funded through proceeds from its initial public offering (IPO).

Zelio E-Mobility stated that the additional capacity is expected to come on stream during Q3 FY2027. Production will be scaled up based on dealer demand, product mix and supply-chain readiness.

The company currently operates manufacturing facilities across Haryana, Odisha and Tamil Nadu, with the Hisar plant becoming its fourth manufacturing unit.

Commenting on the development, Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO of Zelio E-Mobility, said the investment would strengthen manufacturing capabilities, improve production consistency and support timely vehicle deliveries. He also highlighted the company’s focus on developing local manufacturing talent and strengthening its engagement with the regional industrial ecosystem.

The expansion is expected to support Zelio E-Mobility’s market expansion, improve product availability and strengthen its position in India’s growing electric vehicle market.
