HK Toll Road Private Limited (HKTRPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Limited, has revised the completion schedule of Hosur-Krishnagiri road widening project to May 2014. As per original schedule the project should have been completed by 31st December, 2013. However, it is not yet known whether time overrun will have any impact on the cost of the project.

HKTRPL is a special purpose vehicle formed by Reliance Infrastructure Limited to undertake widening/up-gradation of the stretch between Hosur and Krishnagiri from existing 4-lanes to 6-lanes on Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer basis. RIL had won the contract in 2010 from NHAI for Rs. 925 crore. The total length of the road under the project is 59.87 kms. Delay in execution of the project is mainly attributed to non-availability of right of way (RoW) and delays in other approvals.
