On 15 December 2022, the Union Ministry of Environment cleared the expansion plans of the Lucknow airport. Lucknow International Airport, an Adani group company, will invest Rs 10,700 crore into the airport expansion to increase the annual passenger handling capacity from 4 MPPA to 39 MPPA.
