Bharti Airtel plans Rs 1.17-lakh cr investmentBharti Airtel plans to invest Rs 1.17 lakh crore on telecom infrastructure through its three subsidiaries– Indus Towers, Nxtra and Bharti Hexacom — over the next four years.

Of the proposed capex, Airtel will spend Rs 88,000 crore on tower infrastructure with mobile tower company Indus Towers, Rs 15,000 crore for availing services of data centre firm Nxtra and transactions of up to Rs 14,000 crore with Bharti Hexacom.

Indian telecoms are on the verge of launching 5G services across the country. Considering the increased requirements of passive infrastructure during the 5G rollouts, Airtel proposes an investment of Rs 20,000 crore with Indus Towers over the next four years.
