Andhra Pradesh will soon get another expressway, connecting Kurnool with Solapur in Maharashtra.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will develop the expressway which will connect the Chennai-Solapur economic corridor under Bharatmala Paryojana.
The expressway of 318 km long will run through Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The project is expected to be ready by 2025.
Once the expressway becomes operational, the distance between Kurnool and Solapur will be reduced by about 100 km.
