The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has approved Rs 305 crore for the third Borim bridge approach road at Ponda, Goa.
In March 2023, the Public Works Department (PWD), Goa will begin the land acquisition process for seven km approach road of the proposed parallel bridge at Borim in Ponda, Goa.
The bridge was proposed by the PWD’s national highway wing in 2016. The project will provide an alternative route to the existing three decade old bridge over the Zuari. Through the Murme ward of Borim, the new bridge will link Borim village in Ponda to Angadi, Loutolim, in Salcete.
Technogem Constructions (TCPL) will remain on board until the bridge is completed and handed over to the PWD.
