The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated two national highway projects worth Rs 1,082 crore at Raiganj, West Bengal.
The four-laning of Raniganj-Dalkhola (NH-34) was carried out at Rs 962 crore and the four-lane bypass again at Dalkhola was built at Rs 120 crore.
The construction of a bypass and a ROB is expected to reduce the travel time from Siliguri to Kolkata by two hours.
