Food (Lunch Box) or good road – what is more important? Oscar says good roads first. The film fraternity is divided over the selection of Gujarati film ‘Good Road’ over ‘Lunch Box’ as India’s official entry for the best foreign film at Oscars 2014. No Modi’s hand in it nor has he been dragged into the controversy. Sounds strange!

Supporters say without good roads you cannot deliver lunch box on time while opponents argue you cannot build good roads on an empty stomach, so lunch box should have been given preference.

Modi may be having a final say – we have both in Gujarat Good roads as well as Lunch Box!

Incidentally, by Oscar we mean the accolade given by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and not Oscar, the Road Minister!
