The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has invited e-tenders (Request for Qualification) for construction of roads under SARDP-NE Phase `A’’ through EPC contracts in Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh under different packages.

In Meghalaya, the bids are for improvement/widening of road to two-laning with earthen shoulders of Ranikor-Nonghyllam-Maheshkhola-Baghmara road from km. 0.000 to km. 139.00 section of SH 4 and two-laning with paved shoulder of western bypass of Shillong from Barapani at km. 0+000 (km. 60.900 of NH-40) to Shillong at km. 42.405 (km 87.850 of NH-40) at an estimated cost of Rs. 695 crore and Rs. 258 crore.

In Assam, the bids invited are for four-laning of Numaligarh-Jorhat section (km. 403.200 to km. 454.365) at a cost of Rs. 521 crore, Jorhat-Demow section (km.454.365 to km. 490.000) for Rs. 427 crore and Jorhat-Demow section (km. 490.000 to km. 534.800) for Rs. 537 crore and Demow-Bogibeel section (km. 534.800 to km. 580.778) at Rs. 645 crore. All the four proposed stretches lie on NH-37.

The other tenders invited for Assam projects are improvement of two-lane with paved shoulders of NH-38 from km. 20 to km. 53, bypass of Digboi, Margherita and Ledo at an estimated cost of Rs. 327 crore and realignment of NH-37 at Bogibeel junction from km. 581.700 to km. 597.147 at a cost of Rs. 118 crore.

In Tripura, two-laning with paved shoulder of Agartala-Udaipur section from km. 6.800 to km. 55.000 of NH-44 at Rs. 304 crore and in Aruanchal Pradesh improvement of Hunli-Anini section under four packages from km. 89 to km. 235 at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,460 crore; Akajan-likabali-Bame section under two packages at Rs. 850 crore; Joram-Koloriang under four packages at Rs. 1,380 crore; Demwe-Arrowa for Rs. 400 crore; and Khupa-Hawai section under two packages for Rs. 740 crore.

The last date of submission of the above proposals is February 4, 2014.
