BCL Industries, through its subsidiary Svaksha Distillery has set up a greenfield distillery at Kharagpur in the state of West Bengal and expected to commence commercial production soon.
The work at its new state-of-art grain based distillery unit with capacity of 200 klpd is now completed and the company has applied for all the required permissions for commencement of the production, some of which have been granted and some of which are under process.
The consent to operate has been granted by the West Bengal Pollution Board and the company hopes to get all the other permissions soon.
Moreover, the work for the expansion of the 200 klpd ethanol plant of the company at Bathinda, Punjab is under full swing. All of the major orders and advances were issued prior to the steep escalation in raw material prices, which has allowed the company to not exceed the initial project cost.
