Projex in Raj and MP

On 2 Oct 2023, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, unveiled a slew of projects in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, which will increase the inter-city connectivity, housing, water supply, health infrastructure, and education in these states. Noteworthy among these are the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway and the Mehsana – Bhatinda – Gurdaspur Gas Pipeline, developed at a cost of Rs 11,895 crores and Rs 4,500 crores respectively.

Additionally, the Prime Minister initiated the construction of various road, health, and water projects. Over 2.2 lakh houses under PMAY – Gramin were dedicated alongside urban housing projects. Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Gwalior and Sheopur aim to provide safe drinking water to over 720 villages. Health infrastructure gets a boost with the initiation of nine health centers under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.

In the educational sector, the academic building of IIT Indore was dedicated and at the same time foundation stones were laid for the expansion of the campus buildings. The Multi-Modal Logistics Park at Indore, Integrated Industrial Township in Ujjain, and various other projects were also brought into the development pipeline.

In Rajasthan, key railway and road projects are set to enhance connectivity while tourism facilities at Nathdwara and a new campus for IIIT Kota are also part of the developmental blueprint.
