Indian Railway Finance Corporation and the Ajmer division of North Western Railway (one of the 16 zones of Indian Railways) have entered into an agreement for the installation of four solar power plants of total capacity 280kW to be installed at four railway stations — Marwar Junction, Rani, Falna and Ranapratap Nagar (Udaipur) of Ajmer Division. Four 70-kw solar photovoltaic plans will be installed at each of the four railway stations to facilitate basic amenities to the passenger—lights, fans—and other electrical load.
