ReGen Powertech Pvt Ltd has announced the finalization of an order worth Rs.500 crore from the Malpani Group. The order relates to supplying 1.5-mw V87 wind turbines for a 75-mw wind energy project in Madhya Pradesh. ReGen, it may be recalled, had supplied equipment for another project for the Malpani Group that was commissioned in March this year.
ReGen, in a statement said that it was in discussion with other leading Indian corporates for wind energy projects and was on the verge of closing orders worth over Rs.1,000 crore.
Recent orders placed on ReGen included those from Hero Group, Sembcorp Green Infra, Ghari Detergent, Ruchi Soya, Sancheti Properties, Royal Classic and others, aggregating over Rs.1,800 crore.
Since its inception, ReGen has been focussing on the Independent Power Producers (IPP) market for wind energy in India and has gained a leadership position in this segment, the statement said. ReGen has already installed more than 1,800 mw of wind energy projects in India. It is also the largest player in Sri Lanka having supplied 45 mw of equipment, the statement added.
